The Brown Hotel Bridal Show!

So last Thursday night we headed down to the Brown Hotel for one of the most elegant evenings in bridal planning.  If you have never been to the Brown Hotel Bridal Show you must make it a priority before you get married.  The atmosphere is more of a soiree than your typical bridal expo.  

We closed the shop early on Thursday to set up our beautiful display of yummy dresses and worked our behinds off to make our "booth" an elegant showcase.  Before the event even began the brides were lining up in droves outside of the Crystal Ballroom and when uniformed servers swung open the doors the ladies came flooding in greeted by flutes of bubbly and butler passed hors d' oeuvres.  Models mingled with other guests while showing off Couture Closet finery, and the night had a very festive feel to it.  Of course there were florists, photographers, wedding coordinators, entertainers, and wedding cake but it was much more of a party than a pushy trade show.  As the evening came to a close each bride received a "swag bag" full of great gifts from each vendor (we included an adorable pink satin hanger). After the last bride left we were tuckered out and excited to see some of the brides we had met in our wedding gowns!  We love doing the Brown Hotel bridal show and we hope you can join us next year!

Trunk Shows Galore!

So we are up to our perfectly mascaraed eyelashes with Trunk Shows here at The Couture Closet! Just last week we ooohed and aaahed over the stunning styles from Melissa Sweet Reverie, Vineyard Collection, and Jewel by Priscilla of Boston. A lot of happy brides left after purchasing their dream dress and we were ecstatic to be part of the dress buying process with these ladies!

This week (January 22-24) we have another great Trunk Show featuring Private Label by Carrie. These are amazing styles and they are all under $2,000!!! Can you believe that??? Silk, Satin, beads, lace, tulle, organza!! All under $2,000!!! Some are even as low as $1,000!!! AND if that isn't enough we are doing 10% off during the Trunk Show only!!! The deals just keep getting sweeter and sweeter around here!

Then Next week (January 29 - 31) we have another fab Trunk Show featuring the designer Augusta Jones. This Trunk Show is a must if you like classic designs with a modern twist. Again, we will offer 10% off Augusta Jones dresses only during the Trunk Show so make sure you call and schedule your appointment for that as soon as possible!

Last, we have a Trunk Show on Valentines Day weekend (February 12 - 14) featuring another new designer to our shop, Robert Bullock Bride. These gowns are out of this world!! And again they come at a great price!! Nothing over $2,500!!

Make sure you try to schedule your appointment of your favorite designer. A Trunk Show is always the best time to order your wedding gown!!

Trunk Show Winner!

So we just had an amazing Trunk Show last weekend for Melissa Sweet Reverie and Vineyard Collection and as most of you know we were going to give away a free wedding gown if we sold 7 dresses. Unfortunately we didn't sell 7 dresses, but that doesn't mean that there wasn't a winner! We drew a name and Jessica Young won a $500 gift certificate to The Couture Closet! Congratulations Jessica, now you can splurge on amazing jewelry, shoes, maybe a great dress for your rehearsal dinner and/or bridal showers, invitations, we could go on and on!

New York Market = Bridal Gown Heaven

Hi Ladies! It was just that time of year again. Time for us to fly off to The Big Apple and shop for some fabulous new wedding gowns for all you 2010-2011 brides-to-be! And we have to say that this year the bridal designers were ON FIRE!!!! Every dress that strutted down the catwalk was more beautiful than the last! It was so hard to pick the ones that would grace our walls come the spring! {Oh the things we do for you ladies...} :)
